Beauty Benefits: Helps fade spider veins on the legs
How to Get it: Schedule a consultation
Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical procedure used to treat spider veins on the legs.
How does it work? The treatment involves injecting a special solution into the tiny veins, causing them to become irritated and then disappear over several months as the body reabsorbs them.
Treatment info: A number of treatments may be required to achieve the desired effect. The procedure normally takes around 30 minutes and does not require general anaesthetic.
After treatment: Immediately following treatment, the veins may become irritated and bruised. Temporary discomfort or an itchy sensation may be felt.
Compression stockings need to be worn for the first week. Strenuous exercise is to be avoided for 1-2 weeks following treatment.
Sun exposure should be avoided on areas showing bruising or pigmentation. Follow up treatments are usually scheduled at least 8 weeks apart.
Duration: 30 minute procedure
See Results: After 6-8 weeks
For about five years now I have developed noticeable spider veins on the backs of my thighs. I was always embarrassed to wear short skirts and felt like everyone would stare if I had my back to them. I decided enough was enough and wanted to have a summer wearing skirts with no anxiety about them. I am so happy now after having Sclerotherapy.
